CobiT provides Maturity Models for control over IT processes so that management can map where their entity is today and where it stands in relationship to others. The Maturity Model defines Critical Success Factors, Key Goal Indicators and Key Performance Indicators for each of the 34 IT processes.
This approach provides and entity with a method for scoring so that an entity can grade it's IT processes on a set of conditions that can be unambiguously met.
